There are three different flammables used in the production of this show. They are:
1. White Gas - Used to fuel all wick props.
2. Ultra Pure Latern Oil - Used for fire eating and breathing.
3. Lycopodium Powder - Used for theatrical effect.
All production are stored in their original containers until use in the show and are kept in within the internal safety/performance are away from the public. Only the performer, performer's assistant, and authorized personnel are allowed in this area.
There really is no risk for anything catching on fire except the performer and occasionally a very brief or momentary burn off of fuel on the ground. Performer always insures that all occurances are contained within the marked off safety/performance area. Fire blankets are placed in the safety/performance area to extinguish all props used in the show. Both the performer and the performer's assistant are versed in how to properly use both the fire extinguishers and fire blankets in case of emergency.
Amber is a professional fire performer with over 13 years of experience. Her #1 priority is the safety of the public and herself. With this in mind, the greatest danger in this show is injury to herself. No persons, at any time, other than the performer and staff, are allowed in the performance area or anywhere props and flammable mateials are stored. Audiences are kept outside a clearly marked, yellow chained performance parameter. Amber always performs with an assistant. All assistants are also versed and well trained in the handling and use of all props, flammable products, and safety devices used in this show. Copies of our Safety Policy are available upon request.
